Medical Grade Laser Cap for Hair Thinning/Loss with Brinsupri
I have Bronchiectasis and have been on Brinsupri 10 mg. a full year (since September 2025). On the positive side, I've had fewer flare-ups and exacerbations where I get sick and cough up mucus for weeks/months and require antibiotics, which I'm very happy about. I was hoping for increased energy, but I still have heavy fatigue.
On the negative side, I have AKs (scaly bumps) all over my legs and arms with dry skin that I didn't have before taking Brinsupri, and I go to a dermatologist every 6 months to be checked out.
I also have hair thinning and more hair loss, which concerns me. I don't want to take more meds for hair loss. I've been considering purchasing a medical-grade laser cap (e.g., iRestore, Capillus).
Has anyone tried a medical-grade laser cap (not just the infrared kind) to help restore your hair follicles and regrow hair as a result of drug-related alopecia? I'd appreciate hearing your experiences!

Sorry no responses to date but hopefully another member might have some experience with this as it sounds promising. Based on hair thinning post infection along with a med side effect this can have impact on a lot in the community. Have you tried any topicals up to now? Best of luck finding a good solution.
I ordered the iRestore because of Brinsupri hair loss, but read in the info pamphlet that you shouldn't be on sun-sensitive antibiotics when using it. I was prescribed a low dose doxycycline for a period of time, so I made a request to return it. I have to admit it wasn't that comfortable to use. I'd like to explore other options as well.
@jago Thanks for sharing your experience with iRestore.
