Mayo researchers seek women in rural WI needing breast screening

Mayo Clinic is seeking volunteers aged 50-74 to participate in a research study. The purpose of this study is to make breast cancer screening easier and more accessible for women who live in rural areas.

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • Are a woman aged 50-74 years
  • Live in a rural Wisconsin community and/or have a low household income
  • Have not had a mammogram in the past five years or have never had one

Participation will last for up to 6 months.

We will ask you to attend one free, in-person community forum (about 2 hours) and complete surveys at various timepoints throughout the study.

Transportation and childcare will be available during the community forum and food will be provided for all attendees.

If you are interested in participating in the study, we invite you to complete the screening survey.
A study coordinator will reach out to you regarding your eligibility.

(Mayo Clinic is committed to respecting and honoring the confidentiality and privacy of everyone who takes part in this research.)
