Mast Cell Activation Syndrome after thyroidectomy

Posted by tmckinney5 @tmckinney5, 1 day ago

I have struggled with chronic hives ever since my thyroidectomy with what felt like flares up that attacked my whole body making me feel weak. Now it is taking my voice. I will lose my voice for days with worsening symptoms. My doctor now thinks I have mast cell activation syndrome when she saw me. I have large swollen lymph nodes in neck jaw line and even large ones behind my ear that scarred me half to death of what they could be. This has probably been the worst flare up I have ever had. The fatigue is insane. If the lumps don’t go away after treatment in a month I have to have an ultrasound. Has anyone else experienced mast cell activation syndrome after thyroidectomy?
