Magnesium Glycinate, 300 mg.

I am having success with 300 mg. of Magnesium Glycinate, on an as-needed basis. I even took it four nights in a row while on a vacation where we were up, and active, until late at night. I read that it relaxes all your muscles and helps your brain produce GABA. I feel it really helps with sore muscles from working out, lifting weights. I don't think it is habit-forming, because I sleep most nights OK without it. But when I do need something to help me fall asleep, it works!

Thanks for posting. Mg comes up frequently on fora dealing with heart arrhythmia, sleep problems, restless legs, and so on. If your kidneys are healthy, they will 'dump' all the extra electrolytes you don't need but ingest regularly in quantity. I believe the low dose you are taking is not likely to ever cause a problem. I know a person on another site who drinks a homemade 'magnesium water' because, as an engineer with atrial fibrillation, he has found that it works. How much does he drink? A full liter a day, often amounting to 1000 mg of Mg. Yikes! But, he insists that his kidneys dump what they don't want, and his heart is the better for it.
