Magnesium Glycinate

Posted by radinski @radinski, Apr 28 12:34pm

Does anyone not tolerate it? I’ve tried citrate, L-Threonate, and glycinate. Works well for muscle cramps and spasms as well as poor sleep but extremely hard on my bowels. I know citrate is the worst. I can’t tolerate either form. Any suggestions?

May I ask why your wife is taking this? For sleep issues? Is it helping her? I take New Chapter Magnesium + Ashwaganda, and it has not improved my sleep at all. Type of magnesium? “175 mg from seawater and 150 mg magnesium bisglycinate buffered from magnesium bioglycinate chelate and magnesium oxide”

Ashwaganda is supposed to be effective for cortisol reduction. Any indication that it's helping with that?

Not that I can detect. I have taken it alone for sleep issues and never felt it helped me.
