MAC Resolution

Hello! Has anyone experienced complete resolution of their MAC through airway clearance alone? Thank you.

Also, it appears to me that many more people are walking around with MAC that are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic (incorrectly diagnosed). Any thoughts?

I would say that's a correct assumption. Most of us are totally surprised by our diagnosis of either MAC or Bronchiectasis when it first happens. My diagnosis came after over 18 months of declining health, with repeated treatments for bronchitis, intractable asthma & pneumonia.

As to your original question, if you watch some of the videos, you will see that up to 1/2 of people with a diagnosis of MAC have a "spontaneous" conversion to negative cultures.
