Mac + lung cavity

Posted by bevmac @bevmac, Jun 24, 2020

my 3 centimetre cavity has healed in 16 months with the 3 antibiotics – both shocked and delighted. Preventative medicine doctor assisted my immune system cope – also recommended a vegan diet for last 9 months.

Hi @judyhodgern They are called Strepfen, and are a mix of strepsils and an anti inflammatory med mixed together in a lozenge, straight to the throat, a miracle worker. I think you can get them online.

Are you talking about 7% saline? If so, my Walgreens in South Texas and Minnesota have it for about $15 for 50 vials, but I need to let them know 5-7 days in advance because they don't keep it in stock. Many here get it on-line, for a similar price I believe. CVS here was much higher, and it is not available at our Walmart.

Sue, now that I have become of Medicare age, the saline solution is not covered by part D……if you order it on line or want to go to a pharmacy that is not your primary one, do you need to have to a script? My current script is on file at my primary pharmacy, but even with an Rx coupon, the cost is more than some other places I could go…..just wondering if you would know?

migizii, I know this question was directed at Sue, but I can help too. She may add more info when she sees this. Have you tried the site http://www.goodrx.com? That site can tell you who carries the saline and the prices, plus, I believe give you a discount coupon. You do need a script for it. It can be ordered online as well.

I'm new here……as you noticed there's a huge variety of price fluctuation regarding saline which is basically salt water.
It didn't exactly take a rocket scientist to invent it so other than keeping it safe & sterile of quality, packaging and shipping the pharmaceutical companies probably make tremendous profit.
Being sick and a bit cranky I lost my temper one day and complained quite angrily….not my usual personality….the company I was at immediately gave me quite a different price quote…..you may want to try asking politely instead though.

Thx! So, if I find a better price at a different pharmacy, then I can ask my pharmacy to send the script they have to the other pharmacy correct? Can you use the coupon more than once?

Just an FYI – Costco has pretty good prices and you do not need a membership. (if you have one in your area)

Migizii, you can have your prescription transferred to any pharmacy of your choice. I am not sure about the coupon being re-usable, but you could probably print more when needed.

idk, but you can ask, it might encourage them to price match the items.
