Hi. Yes, I just received the 2025-26 covid shot this past Friday at CVS, but here in New York I needed a prescription from my doctor. I have had every covid vaccine and booster available and the only time I had any reaction was when I got the covid and the flu shots at the same time a couple of years ago; this time, however, I was well and truly sick for a miserable 24 hours.
It seems to me that vaccines are a matter of trade-offs. I not only have a beloved two-year-old grandchild who is regularly exposed to a world of daycare germs, but I spend a lot of time with elderly friends who may be susceptible to contagious disease. For me, it is worth a miserable 24 hours to offer them some protection. Will get the flu shot in a couple of weeks. Good luck with your decision.
