Lyrica for Depression?

It has been suggested to try Lyrica for chronic depression but have noticed it being prescribed for those with pain. Would appreciate experience and side effects.

I’m in protected withdrawal from going off of Paxil too fast. Can’t get on a new antidepressant. Has anyone tried pregablin for severe anxiety and depression?

Did you stop Paxil suddenly? What was the reason and how long were you on it? Are you working with a psychiatrist for medication management?

Pregabalin (Lyrica) helps with nerve pain an may calm the nerves but I haven’t heard it being prescribed for anxiety or depression. I haven’t nerve pain and anxiety/depression but pregabalin did nothing to help me and caused more nerve pain for me.

Have you ever tried Wellbutrin/bupropion? I am currently taking an increased dose of 450 mg and finally seeing a light at the end of a very dark depression tunnel.

I was on Paxil for 15 years. I followed the tapering schedule my primary care gave me but it was too fast. I’m afraid to try Wellbutrin because my anxiety is so bad and I’ve read it can increase anxiety. I am seeing a psychiatrist now and we’ve tried 7 antidepressants and all cause severe nausea.
