Lung nodules post covid

Posted by hpyblst @hpyblst, Oct 29, 2023

I just found out I have 2 lung nodules plus a few micro nodules in my upper left lung, don’t believe they are malignant . I went into the Dr for severe weakness and fatigue. My last bout with COViD was 2/2022. I have not smoked since 1974 and I don’t have a history of lung issues in my family. These nodules are new soft tissue since my last X-ray 2/2022. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes. I just found out I have two nodules, one in each lung. Won’t see doctor till Wednesday but from what I read they’re most probably benign as well.
I have been suffering with Long Covid fatigue for 20+ months. My hematologist just ran a series of bloodwork for Epstein Barr virus and Sidon, from what I can deduce, it looks like I have active virus in my system. If this is the case, I read that Covid-19 can reactivate the virus and may be the culprit causing my extreme fatigue and other issues like body pain. I thought I’d mention this as it may explain what others are going through too. Feel better everyone.

Yes. I was diagnosed again this week. I have been suffering long Covid for over two years. My cat scan this week has shown that I have pretty large nodules. I am hoping it from Covid and nothing else. I am hoping to see my doc soon as I am still on quarantine.

Thank you, you also. I will post when I know more. I am not a usually one for posting. But this has helped me not feel so alone. Thankfully this time I was not hospitalized. But the pain in my chest and back was unbearable. 12 days now and I feel somewhat better. Take care Mary.

I have numerous tiny nodules (less than 4mm) in both lungs...have been short of breath...brain fog since covid in 2022...pulmonologist flat out denied it can be covid related but none of this happened till after covid..could be bacterial infection .

Anyone else?

Yes, I do also. On both lungs and chest cavity. They each measure over an inch each.

I’m going for my second lung scan to make sure the nodules found six months ago haven’t grown. Only two- one less than 4 and one 6. I also get SOB occasionally, and continue with the neurological issues that I have been contending with since 2022. First infection, 3/27/22, second,
2/14/23 and third, 2/17/24.
I know benign lung nodules are common, but the unexplained SOB remains a Covid mystery- one among so many.

Because benign lung nodules are very common, I did not address a possible Covid relationship. The doctor didn’t either. But it’s possible they weren’t there before Covid. My understanding is that any kind of lung infection can cause them.

I too found same in my last CT Scan. I had severe covid in 2021.
How are you now? Can you put some information? I am bit scared.
