lung nodules: Can they just disappear in 2 weeks?
I am a Marfan's pt with a lot of complications, I had aortic dissection both A and B in 2012. I now have a 5 mm lung nodule. I was told by the hospital during my CTA that I had this and my follow up at a radiological facility says that the nodule is gone (within 2 weeks). Can this happen???? (the radiological facility also failed to mention my partially deflated lower right lobe of the same lung)

Hi @marfan1, welcome to Connect.
I'm bringing in a few other Connect members who may be able to share their thoughts about lung nodules from a variety of causes. Please meet @llwortman @windwalker @kaystrand @rayhastings @ryman and @jimmorris900.
Marfan, could it be that the first or second reading of the scan was incorrect? Has anyone suggested the cause of the nodule or the partially deflated lower lobe?
Hi Msrgan:
A partially deflated lung lobe? And a nodule! Yikes. Not sure how that happens?
Perhaps you need a proper diagnosis ?

Dear Marian - sorry about spell check and your name?

Dear Marfan : I have recently been reading lot of new research from NIH. Perhaps if you are up for a great read you can google NIH and lung nodules. Just a thought? Mayo has amazing research thru NIH about lung cancer and lung health
Thanks
linda
hi Colleen, they were 2 separate scans, 2 weeks apart. I think that the second, at the radiological facility was incorrect because they also failed to mention the partially deflated lobe which I apparently have had for a while.
