Anyone had lung cancer that metastasized to the pancreas?

Hi, I’m new here, my 75 year old Mum has been diagnosed with stage 4 NSCLC poorly differentiated PD-L1 low or neg with no mutations she also has a mass on her pancreas which they have not biopsy and don’t seem interested to do as they think it’s a met from the lung cancer, but they said to her they also can not rule out that is not a second cancer. They are going to start her on (carboplatin + pemetrexed) and keytruda I would just like to know if anyone else has had experience of lung cancer that has spread to the pancreas or if they have had both cancers at the same time? I can’t seem to find a lot of info on lung cancer that has spread to the pancreas.

Hi there, my Mum 75 had NSCLC with no targetable mutations which did not respond to chemo/immunotherapy. It had metastasised to her pancreas and other parts of her body. My Mum sadly passed away a couple of months ago. My thoughts are with you and your Mum and wish you all the best.

Hi, My mom, 84 yrs. has Stage 4 non small cell lung cancer, ALK+. All of her tumors have responded well to Brigatinib. But, she had the news this week of a lesion in the pancreas, narrowing the duct at the head. Further testing will happen this week. If anyone has any further personal experience with lung cancer spread to the pancreas, I'd appreciate your feedback. Thanks

@cbosworth61 , I'm sorry to hear that your mother is experiencing progression. I'm also ALK+, and have been taking alectinib for the past 5+ years.
The hope would be that the doctors are able to get a tissue sample, to see if there is another targeted therapy that may be a better match for her specific cancer. There is so much hope in the ALK world right now. We are fortunate to have multiple treatments to choose from, and even a new one on the near horizon that should target more variations on the ALK mutation.
Is she doing ok with the news? Of course it's hard to potentially need to change treatments. How long was she on brigatinib?
As long as she is doing ok, she has some time to make a decision on her next steps. I heard someone say, 'choose peace not panic'. I figure that can apply to a lot of things, even cancer progression.
