LPR, (Silent Reflux) Hiatal Hernia, BE, MAC Infection

Anyone out there with all l have listed to deal with?
I have not been diagnosed with LPR or specifically Acid Reflux (tested for this, no findings) but now truly believe I do have the symptoms of LPR/Silent Reflux.
The LPR possible symptoms are worse at night. Burning sensation in the mouth/tongue.
Has anyone been diagnosed with LPR/Hiatal Hernia along with BE and MAC?
If so, how much clearing of phlegm/mucus are you having to do during the day ....and .....upon those wake up times between the short hours of sleep.... from one wake up period to another.....and once one is able to fall back to sleep.
I wake up to walk down the hall to do as my bladder has asked me to do and then I have to clear my trachea/throat/or esophagus of what is annoying me and keeping me from easily going back to sleep.
Any similar stories?

@helenkiwi62 I just read up on Reflux Raft as I thought this would be a good alternative to PPIs. However, one of the ingredients is a form of licorice ingredient. The last couple of times that I have had licorice, and that includes anise cookies, I reacted to the licorice. I get leg cramps. I used to be able to eat licorice with no issues whatsoever, but the last two times I have had licorice in any form, I have developed leg cramps. I know that licorice can cause this. After the first time I had a cramping problem, I tried to think of what it was that I may have ingested or done to cause those cramps. I remembered I had eaten licorice candy. When I read up on licorice, this is one of the things that can develop, cramping. So I guess that, unfortunately, I would be unable to use Reflux Raft. Has anyone had issues using Reflux Raft? If it’s not one thing it’s another! You think you have found a good alternative and then poof, no you haven’t

@toni4501 Your reaction to licorice just goes to show us again that we are all different.
What one persons genes and physical make is ..... is what allows us to do or eat etc. ......and therefore how we will live our lives.
Too much sodium for me causes muscle pain in my lower back or leg cramps/charlie horse cramps and the reason I make sure I eat bananas and/or take a potassium tablet when I need it.

@petry Glad you found my question.
I take it you are sleeping on your left side on a wedge pillow. I do, however no matter how hard I try I very often, if not all the time, find myself in a lower position on the pillow and sometimes on my back. Of course the worst thing is on my back and low in the bed.
I have been wracking my brain to figure out how to help position myself not to turn over or slide down. All I can think of is to tie myself to something and that's not doable for various, obvious reasons.
Yes a nightmare in terms of the clearing and not getting a straight 7 or 8 hours sleep....uninterrupted sleep. Age apparently, for many of us, is a factor with sleep problems due to the changes longevity does to the body. Some one said in another post that the full moon can come into play regarding a good night's sleep. I think that is a possibility and can add to all the other factors. I did read, after seeing that post, on line about the moon being a factor and possibly affecting sleep.

So sorry about "cough to the point of vomit". That I haven't experienced....as yet.

Between morning exercise, nebulizing, air way clearance/huff coughing, prepping for breakfast, eating and eating slow....the morning is practically shot and then I have to get ready for lunch with all one does for putting a meal together. I have my main meal at lunch. Now if I spread the meals out so not to eat one large meal and have many small meals I might just call it a day that could be no more than health requirement routines, food prep and food intake and clean up.

I have given thought to taking medications for LPR/silent reflux, for at night/sleeping. That is when I truly can say "I think this is an LPR/Acid problem." However, I will continue to avoid the med's for now due to what I have read.
I am going to try to pay attention to what I have eaten during the day in relationship to it being a possible problem contributing to the burning tongue at night. I did suck on some cloves when I woke up last night and before I tried going back to sleep. Low and behold the burning sensation greatly subsided. Sure have to be careful with the cloves....don't want to swallow them. I will be making clove tea.

Thanks for your reply....I'm here if you have anything now or later to add to our discussion.

@blm1007blm1007. My entire bed is elevated at the head. Hubby put some kind of risers underneath. That might be a solution.
