Low blood pressure, heart pounding and tightness in chest

Posted by shellsbrown @shellsbrown, 2 days ago

The past few days, I’ve had a tightness in my chest, making it hard to breathe. Heart pounding, especially when I stand up and I also get nauseous with hot flashes. I’m a 26 year old mama of 2 so I just thought it’s been hormonal but now I’m not so sure. Does anyone know what this could be? I did just take my blood pressure and it was 99/57.

shellsbrown, it sounds like dehydration. The trouble would be if it is your heart--angina or heart attack. If you feel any pain--chest, shoulder or arm you should seek medical attention without delay. It is easy to neglect yourself with two little ones. Pay extra attention to fluids for yourself. It would be wise to contact your physician.

@gently thank you, embarrassed to admit that I have gone days surviving off of coffee and maybe 1 bottle of water so this makes sense. I don’t know why I didn’t think about dehydration. I appreciate your response!
