I hope this helps. Is this a formal diagnosis or a home test? He should see a doctor asap if he experiences any symptoms that suggest he is in some danger.

When my son was young, he also had low blood pressure. But now that he is middle age, it is normal to high.
My dad also had low blood pressure and there were other members of the family. For my family it’s genetic. One thing you could do if he wants to do it take blood pressure three times a day, getting up midday and going to bed. Seeing if the numbers changed during the day and activity affects it. But most of all I would recommend you seeing a doctor or a specialist that could help you figure this out
Wish you the very best to figure this out

I always have blood pressure that the bottom number is low, usually very low ( 50s, 40s, one time in the 30s). The top number is usually normal to high. I’ve learned that if the difference between the top and bottom number is greater than 60, it’s called a widened pulse pressure, and you should have an echocardiogram. In my case, it’s caused by regurgitating valves.
