Liver hemangioma/liver resection

I have been referred to mayo for a giant liver hemangioma to discuss liver resection surgery. Has anyone had a liver resection? Just curious how the Mayo process goes and the surgery.

I am planning to have liver resection surgery at Mayo for my severe PLD. I am looking for info from anyone who has had this procedure done. I am 54 and in very good health.
