Lichen planus after beta blockers, ACE inhibitors or other drugs?

I developed lichen planus a few years ago. My doctor couldn’t give me a reason but felt it was due to menopause. I went through the change a decade earlier, so I wondered why would it take so long to affect me?
Today I noticed a commercial for Januvia. I noticed that the side effects sounded just like my symptoms of lichen planus. I googled it and found that ACE inhibitors and Beta Blockers can cause Lichen Planus, especially oral Lichen Planus.
While I had atrial fibrillation, I was on Beta Blockers. After I had an ablation and my afib resolved, I weaned off of the Beta Blockers. Now, a lot of my lichen planus symptoms have improved.
I have to wonder if the lichen planus and beta blocker use are related.
I wonder if the lichen planus will continue to resolve the longer that I am off Beta Blockers. (I hope!)
Does anyone else have any insights on this? Are there other drugs that cause lichen planus? Have you developed lichen planus after medication use?

I’ve never taken beta blockers or any of the meds you mention, however, I have a similar condition called lichen planopilarus, that was triggered by an osteoporosis medication called Prolia (denosamaub).
This condition causes diffuse hair loss. Since it started in 2019, I’ve lost about 60% of my hair.
Many of these drugs affect our immune system and if we already have immune system issues, they can trigger more issues.
35 years ago I had Epstein Barr virus, which is dormant but is always there in the background, and in 2018 I was diagnosed with Hashimotos.
These are just observations from my own experiences. I’m sure everyone’s experiences will be different.

I have Lichen sclerosis for 3 months now. Some days are awful. I have been treated with Clobetesol as well. I did recently read an article on my heart medicine metoprolol, which can cause these issues. My doctor has referred me to a place in Rochester, New York that specializes in lichen sclerosis. I could not get in until mid January. Wishing you the best
