Levquio

Has anyone heard or been orescribed Levqio to lower LDL and Cholesterol? It is a Subcutaneous injection and it is given twice a year. If anyone has started with this medication I will appreciate it. The cardiologist told my husband that it is prescribed to those patients who cannot tolerate statins of any kind and who have heart stents. Thank you.

My hubby has had 3 shots so far. It really lowered his LDL! It's now under 50. He's also on atorvastatan 80 mg and zetia. He had 3 stints place Nov 2023 and bypass surgery this past march.

I have a post on this thread if you can locate it. Briefly though, I took three of the shots. Multiple side effects that lasted for a long time rather than the 5 to 7 days I was told. 6 weeks after starting the shots I developed a heart condition by the name of bigeminy (google it) and am under the care of a cardiologist.
I have since stopped taking the shots due to the side effects. As bad or worse than the statins for me.for me, I am done with them, but I hope you have better luck if you try them.
