Leg and Foot cramps.

Posted by danny5 @danny5, Feb 5 1:10am

wondering if there is anybody with this problem. i get muscle cramps in both legs and feet. but they are more frequent and worse in my right leg. from just below the knee. and into the foot. always at night, when i'm in bed. bad enough that the right foot twitches also.
i hope this is in the correct discussion post.

Yes I have it to. Very annoying. I elevate my legs it helps. But when the sciatica pain hits nothing helps. Sometimes I get in the shower. It helps with the blood flow in your legs and feet. Try it and see if it might help you. Let me know if it works out for you.

so you have Sciatica also. or is that what's causing the problem? i have a herniated disc. L5. but i had the problem way before the disc issue.

I had it until I realized if I stretched before bed I had less symptoms. If my spine was going to begin firing I was going to give it reason to do so. Increasing my exercise is what helped me decrease my symptoms. I have non diabetic PN and chronic pain syndrome.

the foot problem is hard to describe. i said twitch, but it's more than that. the toes kind of rotate in a circle. and when it happens. it lifts my foot off the floor or bed. actually you'd have to see it to understand what i'm saying.

It sounds like dystonia symptoms you describe. Are you on any meds for this cause I imagine it’s uncomfortable and painful!

the only thing i'm on is 2400mg of Gabapentin. but that just don't seem to be working. i'll have to talk to my Neurologist about it.
