KRASG12D mutation and Gem/Abr

Posted by lili62 @lili62, Aug 11 8:28am

Hello,
I’m curious if anyone with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma with KRASG12D mutation has had any response with Gemcitibin/Abraxane. After 5 rounds of Folfurinox my tumor grew and I now have liver Mets. I started on GA last week. I recently learned of my mutation and that it is resistant to chemo. Apparently I missed the opportunity to get into a trial here at Mayo by a few weeks. Looking at other locations for openings. Also, has anyone with liver Mets looked into histotripsy?

Gem/Abax is not working. Looking for a clinical trial. I think I am out of options. Preparing for the worst.

Pls do not give up yet if you have only done gem/abraxane. We need survivors and you must talk to a doctor that wants you on the survivor list!

In saying this, none of us will leave her alive so we should take care of business like POAs, health directives, wills and those sorts of things so it’s off our minds and done. Then get back to the business of living every day. If you page through here you will see that there are treatment options.
