I've been low-carbing/Keto for over 20 years. It solved many of my health problems and at 78 YO I still enjoy eating fat meats and cheeses. I am 60 pounds lighter than when I started not eating carbs and still have lots of energy. I did a 55-mile bike ride yesterday with no problems and no food intake during the ride.

Your might be interested in reviewing the work of Dr
Eric Westman at Duke University. He has been running a low carb program there for over two decades. It is a very simple program. Lots of great educational offerings. Also check out you tube for keto on Low Carb Down Under

Just joined this group and have found it interesting. In my opinion I do not feel that the majority of MDs are not up to speed on what a Keto (or variations of) diet does and does not do to your body. Two very reputable sources for science based information: Dr. Gabrielle Lyon MD podcasts, YouTube and book "Forever Strong" as well as Mike Mutzel, MS also with YouTube videos and IG metabolic_mike.
