Good advice - thank you!
Actually the operation was in March 2023. My error. Waited a year to see top spine surgeon
here in NY, originally was to see him in 7-2023 but once he heard about prior surgery he office said come back in a year. Saw him for consultation 8-2024 about her a complete waste of our time he said virtually nothing about prior surgery and we left his office without any options by him.
Saw another supposed spine surgeon expert and this time he said go back to surgeon who did operation "I know him and he is a great guy" and he also said my office made a big mistake by
calling you in because if I had knw about failed 3-2023 operation I would have never called you in for a second opinion. Unfortunately spine surgery is a "big club" here in NY.

1 ReactionMy mistake operation was in 3-2023 not 2024. Surgeon who did vfirst failed operation once to do this time an oblique operation to fix new problem spondylolistheis that she never had before. Made a big mistake in doing first operation. Now a virtual cripple. Very bitter about this

1 ReactionGood luck Tony
Thank you
Very sorry about your misfortune.
Don’t give up hope
All I can offer are my prayers that a miracle of some unexpected nature will change the trajectory you are on; mentally and physically.
Tony
agreed! The neurosurgeons have the education and the training to deal with the many nerves and inner makings of our spine.
i\I should add the following: The net result of" "operation" was that my wife now has SPONDYLOLISTHEIS never had before (xrays proof we have) and now the original doctor says "I can fix that with a new oblique operation." No thanks! Why another operation to fix a problem she never had before?
So I’m not the only one having trouble with surgeons. I had a failed back surgery L4-S1 April of 2023 surgeon won’t do anything I’ve seen 3 others they won’t either and now Mayo Clinic turned me down. I’m starting to feel like the surgeon screwed something up and the others see it. Severe leg burning , numbness, pain, stabbing, starting to go to the other leg. Bowel and bladder issues , testicular pain when I rub the tailbone. I can’t walk very far with a cane , I’m starting to use a Walker more . I’ve seen all Neurosurgeons my MRI shows a pinched nerve at L3 also mentions pseudo arthritis, I have spinal stenosis also. Pain doctor agreed I shouldn’t get a pain stimulator because there is something wrong. 🤷🏼♂️

1 Reaction@anoyymous123 - Sorry for your issues! It appears you're in a bit of a box. You've a concern the docs aren't telling you the truth plus you're skeptical about what you're being told...Yet, you still have significant (likely) spinal issues that will only be improved with doctor assistance. That's a conundrum for sure.
I have a suggestion. Have you seen a physiatrist? This specialty is focused on pain origin and management. They are not surgeons so there is no tendency to see all problems being solved by surgery. Yet the physiatrist can read films, understand your pain experiences, and help diagnose cause-and-effect.
Have you tried that approach?
