@josephene I am having terrible insomnia as well. Nothing seems to help. Any specific suggestions? Many thanks.

@ripley

How much CBD is in your gummy and is that the only ingredient (meaning no THC or CBN). Also, are you taking hemp or medical marijuana gummies? Thanks.

just read your questions of nov. 11; the brand i love is healing resources which can be bought online; i use the cbd/cbg/cbn 30 mg. gummies. i'm female and weigh about 105; i also take other rx for insomnia which has worsened since becoming a post-covid long hauler. not sure whether they're hemp or medical mj but you'll find that info online and they don't contain any thc which for me is activating; i take 1/2 of a gummy about 30 min. before i take my other rx for sleep and lay another 1/2 gummy out when i get up a few hrs. to go to bedroom; try taking a 1/2 but i've also taken a whole gummy; definitely feel tired and often doze off listening to a calm podcast before taking nightly meds.

I take Ambien, but not every night because I build up a tolerance to it. On alternate nights I use THC. Some nights nothing works and I lie awake all night. My insomnia is caused by a combination of MS and Bipolar. Of all my MS symptoms, insomnia is the worst.

Your doctor should really give you something that works for you that you can take everyday....have you tried over the counter sleep med Unisom? Doctors don't like to give us the sleep meds that really work.....like Flurazepam.....it's a great sleep med.

Ask your doctor for a good medication like Flurazepam

Thank you,
My psychiatrist has tried many drugs and I always have the same problem - If I take them every night, they stop working. My insomnia is caused by MS and I’ve had it for over 30 years. Bipolar exacerbates the problem.
THC also works for me but not every night.

You should ask your psychiatrist for Flurazepam. It's strictly an insomnia medication. Was off the market for awhile, but I believe it's back. It works! Lunesta, Ambien, Temazepam, Estazolam, Trazodone....I've tried all those and none worked. Flurazepam works!

i'm hypomanic on the bipolar spectrum so sleep has always been an issue (i'm 76) and have always been on 1 or 2 meds nightly to sleep. i got covid 19 in dec. 2020 and for 2+ yr. i've been a post-covid long hauler and participate on the facebook group survivors corps which has the most information about any health issue post-covid and many long haulers suffer insomnia. i've been on thyroid meds for 30+ yr. and thru the f/b group i've read a lot about many people using cbc or the combination of cbc/cbd/cbn for insomnia and body inflammation. I have a host of other issues from the virus tho sleep has been the biggest issue. my decision was to follow what the long haulers are doing for symptom relief as i saw 3 specialists early on who offered 0 info. i don't believe cbd will hurt you even if on other meds, esp. if you don't take any cbd that has thc which might activate you rather than sedate. i take a gummy about 30 min. before i take the other 3rx meds and maybe the cbd has helped or maybe most of the insomnia has run its course as i now get 8 hr. almost nightly and still nap throughout the day. my hubby takes the gummies occasionally; sometimes he'll take melatonin (makes me too groggy) and he's also on thyroid meds.

Denise....what strength of cbd gummie do you take for sleep? I think covid has affected my sleep too...had it October 2022. What Facebook group are you talking about? And may I ask what sleep meds worked for you in the past?

I take progesterone, which gives me some wonderful dreams, 15mg Temazepam and 1/2 of .05mg klonipin which for years but since having Covid in December 20 20 the insomnia was relentless and I was having to nap 2 to 3 times a day to make up for the lost sleep. Are use healing resources, CBD, CBG, CBM gummy: you can research the three combos online and they can be ordered online but I will take half of a 30 mg gummy 30 minutes before taking my usual three meds when I am in bed, listening to a very calm podcast and doze off. I lay out the other half of the 30 mg gummy next to a 25 mg hydroxyzine pamoate which I will take in the middle of the night when I wake up to go to the bathroom… I know this number of meds could probably kill horse but I’ve developed tolerance and because some of these meds are benzodiazepines never get off of them, but I sleep well this past year and do not have a medication hangover in the morning… Start low with the gummy‘s to see how they affect you, but these do not contain any THC, which is very activating for me. The Facebook group is called survivors corps and I have gotten so much valuable information from the hundreds of the thousands of haulers living with the aftermath of the virus… The three specialists I saw early on did zero for me.

Interesting as the same thing has happened to me! I build up a tolerance to everything I have tried. It’s absurd. Have tried several types of sleep meds both OTC and prescription. Also Delta 8 gummies (built a tolerance to them). Even a touch of smoking marijuana didn’t help. I developed the problem years ago, I know why and when it started but nothing seems to help. Incredibly frustrating.
