Getting an IVIG infusion: What can I expect?
My IgG count is currently at 221 and at my chemo treatment yesterday I was told I will be getting an IVIG infusion next week. I would love to know more about this infusion, including side effects.

@chriswhpple, how did the IVIG infusion go? What tips would you share for anyone about to have this treatment? What do you wish you had known?
I take IvIg every 3 weeks and I always feel better the next day. I have no side effects.

1 ReactionI have been taking it at New Prague for 6 months. No issues. It takes about 3 hrs for me. Great location, awesome staff! Alas, IVIG may not stop you from getting sick. As I understand it, the goal is to keep you from getting sick enough such that you need to go to the hospital. I hope you had a positive experience!
