Is Alpha-Stim effective for anxiety and insomnia?

I have severe anxiety which has hindered me since an abusive and invalidating childhood. I have not been able to overcome it with medications or therapy. I am in my sixties now, and experiencing transitions in my health and relationship.
Would the ALPHA STEM be helpful for me?

Hello…I have the Alpha Stim, for 1 yr. I have never used anxiety medication and for me, when my mind is very restless where I cannot focus on anything, the Alpha works.
Another thing I am pursuing is neurofeedback. My therapist suggested it for anxiety but also for cognitive decline due to effects of chemo and Tamoxifen.

My therapist prescribed Alpha and insurance does not cover the cost, $850.
