Is there anyone out there that is using Loreev Xr for GAD?
Has anyone been on Loreev Xr for longer than 4 months? I’m on month 6 going on 7….on the 2 mg once in the morning. Seems as though I’m having breakthrough anxiety. Like my body has gotten used to it. Experiencing nausea and anxiousness again like in the beginning…every few days…also take Remeron 15 mg once before bed. That one has been very helpful, gave me my appetite back and knocks me out no problem. Sometimes I can’t wait until night time so that I can take my Remeron and feel normal and fall off to sleep.

Just a couple of months ago, I tried Loreev XR and I had to stop taking it. I was only able to stay on it for one week because the constant nausea and increased anxiety, caused by it, were intolerable. My psychiatrist said it may be because of its extended release formulation. When I asked my regular pharmacist if she had ever had another customer complain about the medication causing nausea and anxiety, she said I am the only person, so far, for whom she’s ever filled a prescription for Loreev XR. I ended up resuming my regular immediate release Ativan (lorazepam). I simply could not withstand the Loreev XR side effects.

Tried Prozac that was fail. Scared to try anything else but doesn’t look like I have a choice. My pharmacist said that me and one other person are the only ones who have prescription for Loreev…nobody else.
I have been on Remeron since 2001 and on Ativan for about 10 years. Recently I started on 5 mg of Loreev. 3 in am and 2 in pm. After one year I feel have developed resistance and need more. When I feel anxious my blood pressure goes up and this is my biggest fear.
Has anyone been on lorazepam for many years?
@zelenkobooks
So I’m doing a slow taper off of Loreev Xr 2mg….just started with the 1.5mg and going do that for a while, then eventually down to 1mg etc…going to give Buspar a try as a replacement.
Good luck! Hope you get the results you want.
Thank you so much! I hope so too. Hope your journey is getting better as well.
@zelenkobooks depends on what you mean by many years, I’ve been on it for maybe 3 years or so?
I have been for ten. One year on Loreev.
I see some people have been on the same dosage for tens of years. I wish I can stay on the same for that long.
