Is there a solution to vision loss due to dry eyes?

I have very dry eyes as well. I use a lot of eye drops and ointment. There are number of brands out there that might work for you. You’ll have to check if you’re not using eye
I use eye mask at night and that has been wonderful and it has helped me greatly over the years

I also have extremely dry eyes. I was diagnosed SLK.
It caused my eyelids to scrape my eyes every time I blinked.
My eyes were very dry and painful.

They used plugs in my tear ducts , they had me use lots of eye drops. I put warm compresses on my eyes and that is about all they could do is for the dryness. But it sounds like you’ve you’ve done all those things. What else have you tried?

Amniotic tissue, LipiFlo, punctual plugs, heat masks, drops, ointment at night, sleep masks and a humidifier in my bedroom. Nothing has helped.

I take fish oil, sea buckthorn oil. Do Systane PF eye drops and ointment, and warm compresses. I’m female so I take bio identical hormones. To low estrogen can dry you up everywhere. I have tried the expensive eye drops and the tubes but it didn’t help. I had multi focal lens replacement 6 years ago and my kind of dry eyes went from a 3 to a 9. I just should have opted for new glasses. I did t have cataracts, I just wanted to se close near and far. Now I can’t see in bright sunlight, or at night. I have had sclera abrasions from this. It’s a pitiful thing.

I've been using the Optase Eye Mask and Eye Serenity Steam masks available on Amazon, but the relief is very short term. This one sounds like it might be better.

Severe dry eye is no fun!! My doctor prescribed 40% blood serum drops. It's not cheap, but neither are all the over the counter drops that don't work as well for me. Every few months I get a blood draw and the local lab makes the drops and I pick them up the next day. They seem to absorb better in my eye than other drops. I'm also using Vevye drops that my doc prescribes as an anti-inflammatory drop. I start my day with tea tree eye wipes and do periodic warm compresses as needed. I have a dissolvable punctal plug in my worst eye and I take Nordic fish oil pills daily.
