Is multi-orgasm possible post-prostatectomy?
I just started to ponder something, wondering about an unexpected possibility in my post-radical prostatectomy sexual life:
If we no longer have a prostate, seminal vesicles, and vas deferens, all involved in ejaculation, but...we can still have a dry orgasm (assuming I will ever be able to get an erection again), is it "possible" to have multiple orgasms like a woman does? My premise:
If I remain erect due to a Trimix injection, Cialis/Viagra, or my recovery finally allows a natural erection, why would the erection end when I orgasm if I do not ejaculate? The stimulus to the penis to allow orgasm is on the underside...the frenulum that responds to friction and stimulus. Why wouldn't that continue if I no longer ejaculate, which has always been the beginning of going flaccid? There should be no change in the blood flow in my penis, so in theory, multiple orgasms should be possible. Has anyone had them?

With injections you stay hard, but you still need a recovery time before you can come again.

3 ReactionsThe Cialis/viagra has given me the opportunity to wake up but does not give me a good solid erection with whats left of my penis. I also found that it was easy to loose it. While I found enjoyment in the foreplay my penis would take a break. C&V only work with stimulation. I dont know since it didnt work well for me, but I think having an orgasm would end it. I have gone to using trimix. Erection lasts about 2.5 hrs. The erection will last whether you orgasm or not. I suppose multiple orgasms would be possible. I figure what for? I have found it to be much harder to orgasm than in my previous life. My partner is waiting on me. Then I have issues with sometimes I get fluid with my orgasm(urine leak). I feel really lucky to be able to get to this point with my manhood. The whole process of sex with your partner is not the the relaxed activity it was in the past. To go for another orgasm would be sort of a marathon that I am willing to forego until another day. I know my partner is. My RP was 6 years ago. I did not get an erection until 5 years with Trimix.

1 ReactionI elected to have the nerve bundles cut during surgery. My surgeon & his staff wanted to make sure I was happy with the state of affairs after surgery, & offered whatever assistance I might want in this regard. Then I found out that I was multi-orgasmic. When I reported this to my surgeon's staff, his physician's assistant (a female) called me & wanted to know the specifics (technique) with a flaccid penis. I was VERY uncomfortable discussing that level of detail with her (& didn't).
I do give my surgeon & his staff credit for this level of follow-up.
The ability to be multi-orgasmic continues to be true to today, five years after surgery.

I understand you discomfort completely but perhaps you could have offered written instructions or a written report ? Or ask for male assistant ?
She was asking so that she could help multitude of men who are also struggling . : ( Perhaps it is not too late to do that if you are with the same doctor.
For me personally it is always easier to do something if I know that it is for the sake of others - many inhibitions than become non-existing. Just a thought ; ).

1 ReactionI'm 3 weeks into orgovyx and 14 days into a 28 radiation plan. None of this has affected me cognitively as I still very much appreciate "window shopping" the crowd, my psychological appreciation towards the opposite sex hasn't changed one bit. My libido is somewhat fried in that I no longer think about physically initiating sex, but my wife and I are both good at regularly keeping blood in my organ and trying to keep it functional through direct stimulation. With stimulation I can still get an erection. What I've found is that rather than one single large orgasm, with no ejaculation I can have smaller but multiple peak experiences. Hopefully I can "keep that up" because it is pleasurable and still very intimate with my wife. And keeping things functional will hopefully help me get back to normal when I'm past the current nightmare...so long as it continues to work. It's worth the effort and I love my wife for finding ways to keep things intimate. When life gives you lemons, keep rolling with it.

I thought about that at the time & later, but it was too far of a bridge to cross. It didn't help that she was good-looking & I was sexually attracted to her.
I'm sure there are sexual counselors that have more expertise than I do anyway.
@readandlearn WOW! You’re like the guy who wakes up from a coma able to speak 3 or 4 languages he’d never spoken before…Good for you!

1 ReactionI am four months post RARP. No problem getting erections, but no orgasm. Foreplay, etc, wonderful, and very much hard enough for penetration. I do get a sensation in the base of penis, sort of the build up. But then poof... nothing. Next step is the cialis/viagra combo. Haven't tried yet, as sex has always been spontaneous. Having to plan and munch on a viagra pill one hour prior will take some getting used to.
@tuckerp "OMG"..."five years"..."with" Trimix? Heaven help me. All of the literature and Dr. Patrick Walsh's book offer "one year, up to two years" before you can get an erection...if you are unfortunate compared to the men who got them just 3-6 months after surgery ("the lucky ones"). Well...I have new verbiage to add to my nightly prayers. Thank you!
