Can someone who suffers from long time Covid infect other people?

No they cannot infect people. It just means they never recovered from covid. Those with LH end up with symptoms similar to other illnesses like ME/CFS, POTS, MCAS. They are not contagious though.

Hi. I've been away from my family for 4 months when I got covid 19 last June. But since then, I've been tested negative for covid 19 4 times already. Is it safe to go home straight to my family, although I still have post-covid symptoms? I hope somebody can answer my question. Thanks

Post-Covid symptoms are caused by aftereffects of the virus due to changes the infection made to cells in your body. Post-Covid changes are not contagious, so if you have a current negative Covid test, it is safe to be around other people. It is wise to be alert for a chance that you are ill again, because it is possible to become infected again.
So you can safely enjoy time with your family - just keep a Covid test handy in case you get symptoms again.

That is a very difficult question. Whether you are safe to travel would depend on your post-Covid symptoms.
Is it possible for you to get a physical, with an electrocardiogram and a basic pulmonary function test, to make sure your heart and lungs are safe to travel? And ask the doctor if it is safe to travel?

Much of the time, there is little evidence of organic damage post-Covid, and the problem is with the virus having caused a host of symptoms, including fatigue. Only you know if you can tolerate the rigors of a long trip.

If you decide to go, certainly get tested for Covid and wear a good mask throughout the trip so you don't catch it again.

Can you get a physical where you are now?

Thank you very much for your reply. Actually, I have consulted with the cardiologist already & she gave me Fit-to-travel clearance. My post covid symptom is related to IG issues, bloated stomach & slurred speech which is not that bad. What I really worry is my IG issues, because I really feel bad that sometimes I feel like I'm shaking inside. But, right now I think it's improving. I just take chamomile tea after every meal. I just told my doctor that I need a really good rest & I can only have that if I'm at home with my family.

Anyway, I am presently in Angola, West Africa. And I need to go home to my country Philippines. Also. I'm trying to find out if there is a post covid rehab clinic in the Philippines that can help me with my symptoms.
