Hi
Well, for an operation it is 3 x 24 hour stop. I have had 3 operations and stopped. And also wait 2 x 24hour days.
I was on 150mg x twice day PRADAXA.
2 years later I demanded to go back to 110mg x twice day as my Trige had prescribed me.
No issues.
A friend with MS forgot to take hers on a break for 7 days approximately and she suffered a slight stroke. She had an artificial valve.
You would be OK for up to 5 days I would think. How long does your Dr want you to stop for? What do you mean by inflows? Your AF is persistent? Mine is.

Apixaban has a half-life of approximately 12 hours. So, after 24 hours from your last pill, you still have roughly 25% of the last dose working in you. That is not good protection if you are considerable risk for stroke. Usually patients at some risk for stroke, but who are scheduled for surgery, are asked to take their last dose about 24 hours before the surgery. Often, they are asked to take one, two, or more baby aspirins (81 mg each) over those 24 hours. But you should always follow the directions and instructions of the team helping to keep you alive. Guessing and disagreeing is a recipe for high risk and perhaps disaster. Just sayin'....
My doctor told me to take the expensive Eliquis twice a day, about 12 hours apart. I take the evening pill before I go to bed.
My 89 year old mom missed 3 days of eliqus due to her not being able to afford the copay on her prescription, she developed 3 blood clots had surgery to remove them and passed away a month after her missed doses. All of the medical professionals have told the family cause of the blood clots directly related to missed doses of the medicine. SO NO DO NOT MISS THOSE DOSES UNLESS UNDER DOCTORS ORDERS!!!
