Is having a car mandatory at transplant lodging?
Hello everyone. I've been referred to the Mayo Liver Transplant program. I have a million questions and it will be a couple months before I visit Mayo Clinic Phoenix for the initial interviews.
Is having a car mandatory at transplant lodging? If so, why?

Hi - I just wanted to add some options - one is uber and lyft are used often out here (Phoenix). And you can look into instacart to see what grocery stores deliver.
@giuseppe, I just want to drop in and say that I hope that your travel and lodging plans are coming together.
Have you been scheduled for your initial appointment, yet?
Thanks so much for you offer to drive me around! Very kind of you. I doubt I'll be there that soon. I was told it will take about 2 months to hear back from the Mayo Clinic once all my preliminary testing is done here at home.
Hello Rosemary - thanks for checking up on me.
It could be a couple months or more before I have an initial appointment at the Clinic. Kaiser works with a travel agency and makes most of the lodging and travel arrangements. I still have some procedures to do here to satisfy the Clinic's requirements . Then Kaiser send all the results to Mayo Clinic, then the Clinic will call me to set up that appointment.
Hi, Joe.
It sounds like a plan is beginning to come together. I hope that the next few months go smoothly.
