The one thing they don't tell you about Dupixent.

It takes 12 weeks to learn if it's working or not.

I have been on Dupixent 4 months and I can't say I see a difference in my breathing.. Something I have been dealing with daily since I started using it is muscles aches and joint pain, body aches, chills, being unusually tired. I contacted the pharmacist at the Speciality Clinic I get it from and asked if what I am experiencing could be side effects. She said it could be as these are all possible side effects of Dupixent. We are going to hold off on my next injection and see if there is any difference.

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced any side effects such as these from Dupixent? Or any side effects at all?

Thank you.

I just found out my co-pay for Dupixent will be $1150 per month. Heck I cannot afford that with my SS and small pension.

How is everyone paying for this expensive medicine??
Is there a place to try to get this medicine subsidized??

Have you asked your pulmonologist for financial help programs?
My pulmonologist helped me get help through The Assistance Fund. I pay nothing.

I agree—I’d ask your lung doctor and also the folks at Dupixent about their coupons and patient assistance programs. I am using a coupon from DupixentMyWay and my copay is $0! Without the coupon, it’s have a pretty high copay, I believe. There are some requirements to use the coupon or the patient assistance programs.

You can try calling the pharmacist that is supposed to be filing your prescription about this issue as well. In my case, it’s CVS Caremark. I was able to do to the Dupixent website and figure out how to sign up for the Dupixent MyWay discount card on my own and have it activated before any of my prescriptions were filled.

I find Dupixent really helped me. Several times since starting it in November, events have occurred which would normally have triggered an exacerbation but didn’t! That was what we had hoped for! My breathing is about same as always and saturations have been slightly better than before. I have NOT noticed any troubling side effects.

I believe it read that it can take up to 3 months. Some will get a response sooner, others not!
