Is anyone suffering physical effects from their anxiety?
I'm 72. My husband is a narcissist and has mild dementia. He has gotten so mean and miserable to live with, it is affecting me with sweating, pain, jitters, upset stomachs and my mind that is just racing with thoughts 24/7. I go to doctors and they just want to give me drugs! I have finally realized that this man cares nothing about me or anything else unless it involves him directly. I feel like I'm heading for my 19th nervous break down. This isn't how I want to spend my final years.

Thank you, but I'm a Veteran of a war. I can handle myself. I dont know what an attorney could do for me. We are in our 70's, too late to separate and build new lives. Yes we are married more than 10 years. The medical experience I am having is I should accept his challenges and deal with them. Every road I try to get help, I'm led into a brick wall. Thank you for writing.
I know women who divorced in their 60's & 70's & built new lives. Your situation sounds dire
so maybe the VA could help. I know they offer a variety of services. Please don't give
up trying to find help for both of you.
Your a sweetheart!
Thank you, I am aware of those. His Neurologist says I know more about Narcissistic personalities than he does! The most helpful I have recently found are ways not to react to their actions. More or less becoming the grey rock. I am not going to persue therapy. I have been to 3 and never got anything out of them. I am going to find a way through this.
You haven’t found the right one yet. Keep looking
I might get a kegal consult to discover your legal rights and responsibilities, then make decisions to protect your own interests. Categiver fatigue is real and can severely impact your health in many ways. Good luck with everything. It’s a tough situation.
Thank you, I just got POA over him and am looking into options. Its a horrible situation.
Going to try a psychologist on the 17th. I'm trying!
