Has anyone experienced internal vibrations?

Posted by redladyjoni @redladyjoni, Nov 26, 2018

I started having the only way I can explain it is internal vibrations. I've had them for 3 months now, I went to t hihe ER and they told me it was anxiety. A doctor diagnosed me at a clinic as having Lyme disease I've started a 21-day prescription of Doxycycline I'm on day 7. I went to a psychiatrist a week ago to get something because of my nerves are just over the brink. He prescribed me Gabapentin and Valium I've only been on them a few days.
Has anyone experienced these internal vibrations?I have them almost 24/7 chest neck stomach from the hips down. I have more lab tests that should be in today, but the doctor's office said that they would not call unless there was some abnormality in the lab work.

@cathy514 - good to hear from you. Would you say you have all or some of the symptoms @novajeff mentioned? If some, which are most troublesome for you right now?

I’ve had internal vibrations over most of my body for over 2 yrs now. I tried Gabapentin and it didn’t work. I also have constant muscle spasms and severe atrophy. I’ve tried muscle relaxers and they don’t work. Are there other optons? My physician doesn’t like to prescribe. I’ve had extremely high blood pressure for 2 yrs but I’m on the highest dose of an ARB, but my physician won’t address this. With offices closed and era too busy, how can I get help?

@asquires Sorry to hear about your suffering. You are in good company!

- Anything you recollect that happened around when your vibrations started (ie virus, injury)? Any other concurrent symptoms (ie fatigue, Muscle cramps, headache)?

- are you positive you have atrophy or do parts just feel weaker and more tired? If it is definitive atrophy, is it one limb, one side, symmetrical, etc? If it is definitive, could it be from lack of use (due to cramping, fatigue, frustration etc)?

- are your spasms all over the body or in a certain area(s)? Are they more like fasciculations or one at a time jerks?

Overall, you should see a Neuro (Or another neuro if your doctor you refered to here is already a neuro). Testing could possibly include MRIs, blood, EEG, EMG and sleep study as a start.

- Curious how long you tried and what dose you had of Gabapentin.

I feel your frustration with the current testing challenges given COVID. Personally, I am not able to get my neuro-sleep study or my spinal MRIs right now.

Also, out of curiosity, are your interns vibrations intensified when asleep/falling asleep/waking up?

Recently I’ve been experiencing internal tremors in fact I thought it was my bed shaking and I noticed that @januaryjane mentioned the same feeling….,it seems they only occur while I’m asleep. I’m New on this website/group and I’m not sure where to go from here to find out about “your findings”😃 if any. Would appreciate any help or comments. Posting with this group since I imagine must be Nervous System related. Thank you.for any comments 🙏👍

@septemberguy have you discussed the internal tremors you are having with your doctor?

Yes, I have internal vibrations throughout the day. The Drs still can’t figure it out. Very frustrating.

Do you have any other health issues? I don’t but. I do get these internal tremors at night when I fall sleep and wakes me up... but like I said I don’t have any other issues so I think must be stress related, when I mentioned it to my Dr he shrugged it off
