Intermittent pelvic pain, possibly ovarian cyst
I am 62 with a history of ovarian cysts, none ever big enough to remove. Always ‘wait and see’ and ‘take Tylenol for the pain’ (I am on blood thinner Xarelto due to extensive blood clot from my belly button to my left knee 23 years ago at the end of my pregnancy. I also have labral tears in both hips that are generally not a problem/no pain. But lots going on in the left pelvic region…
From time to time I get pretty bad pain in my left hip joint that can get pretty bad, pulses/throbs, spreads down my left thigh and calf and up around to my center back. Nothing helps. Hurts to lift my leg, walk, difficulty sleeping. It’s awful, and then it goes away, making me think it must be gynecological.
My recent incident lasted almost 2 months. Pain started as an annoyance and escalated to pretty severe after 3 ish weeks, went away one day and then came back two days later. Lasted another couple of weeks. Better today which is such a relief.
Has anyone experienced this kind of pain, what did you do? What tests should I ask for?
