Increased forgetfulness and Memory issues/ Mental health or other?

Posted by firewolfpup17 @firewolfpup17, Nov 9, 2020

I hope I am in the right place. I have always had bizarre things going on with me, so I am not overly surprised when things happen...but over the last couple of days I have had a marked increase in forgetfulness and issues with memory. For the record, I am 29 with no prior history of memory issues and have not had any injuries that could attribute to this situation. I do have anxiety, depression and suffer with chronic abdominal pain, with no identifiable cause that started when I was 17, and have been well managed on medication for these issues. No recent changes. Examples of my memory issues, I can not remember most of what happened yesterday, I know I was blowing leaves for a few hours, and watched my near 2 year old for part of the day, but if you asked me what happened throughout the day, I cant tell you because I dont remember. Another example is this morning I was in the bathroom and I believe I took my medication for the morning, I ran the garbage outside, then came back in and couldn't remember if I took my medication...It has been a lot of situations like these for the past few days and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced similar things. Thanks

So I talked with my doctor today. She doesnt think that it is Neurological, we are checking labs for vitamin deficiency, thyroid etc. We will also be decreasing my gabapentin to see if that could be a cause. She is pretty conservative so we will see what happens with the blood and meds.
