Hey, i have been suffering from a symptom of vision constantly going in and out of focus near sight diffculty with tracking the text while reading and getting fatigued near sight easily, i went to a neuro optimetrist that diagnosed me with accomdative insufficency then i did vision therapy and today i finished it and not only that i didnt felt any improvment but that lately i also suffer from far sight vision going in and out of focus constantly, i have already tried plus lens also which helped slightly but not enough and currently i dont know what to do next, i talked with the neurooptimetrist and she suggests that i should keep practicing at home and going to.more in office therapy but it seems like its unlikely that it would help since theyre tests showed an improvment in their measures.

....this is just a shot in the dark .... wondered your age, if you are on any medications... I am not a dr or knowledgeable about situations like yours but I have eye issues... I went off a medication i had been on for years, for 2 months, then went back on it and I felt something hard to explain is happening to my vision, its clear but similar to some of yours and hard to pinpoint, just somethng not right .... then I read that the mediation I am back on could cause some issues within the eye and vision..... am waiting to contact my Optometrist : so while waiting just wondered IF you are on a new prescription... could this be I wonder? I hope you get some helpful feedback here.... many meds cause eye issues but am sure the doctors you have seen have checked out that possiblity??? Good luck J.

I suggest that you see a neuro-ophthalmologist, a specialized medical doctor, who can diagnose vision problems that stem from the brain, nerve, and muscles.

I wonder if you go to an optometrist and ask thrm if prism would help. A clear sticker can be put on a spectacle lens and that can get rid of what sounds like a type of double vision. You will then know it's possible or not to solve it that way. It's called Fresnel prism in Europe...not sure about USA

I hope you will see an opthalmologist right away, rather than a optomotrist.
Your local hospital might provide access to someone.

I am so sorry to read this. I wish I could do something to help. Here in the US we are overwhelmed with physicians, but, even then, it is hard to get an appointment. And here at the great Vanderbilt University Hospital, we are only seen in in 15 minute intervals. More and more wealthy people are going to concierge medicine, leaving the rest of us out. Truly I am glad to be 80 so I won’t have to put up with this for much longer. Good luck in your journey. I am so sorry to have nothing to say to comfort you. What a rotten shame.

@dollyjaneprenzel ah Dolly.,.. yes we have seen so many changes over our lives, I am 83 this year. My last dr was ten minutes then he would stand up and say times over ..... I did watch a tv show a dr whose dad was a dr years ago and spent too many hours at his practice, then visiting patients in hospital, then on call weekends and nights: so I get it that drs now see it as a "job" but many of our medical places are closing Fridays for a long weekend, or go on vacation without finding someone to take calls etc. as they used to... For me I can pay $20 a see a dr on Zoom/computer and get prescription/xray req etc. but its just not the same as having a "Family Dr" isit. I too wish you the best Dolly.

Yes, in my mind’s eye, I can see Dr. Strayhorn walking toward our house with his black bag swinging in his hand. There was always a peppermint stick for me but my brother had health problems from birth and he received careful and tender care. Dr.Joe Strayhorn had a crossed eye and I adored him.
His brother was a doctor for adults. His son took over for the brother. All in the family. Really, the good ole days. Try to take good care of yourself and I will do the same. Dolly
