Idiopathic Anhydrosis

Posted by loomis4j @loomis4j, Feb 11, 2019

I have idiopathic anhydrosis. I experience severe shivering and overheating. If I try to warm myself up then I start to overheat. Has anyone with Anhydrosis experienced my symptoms and is there any treatment that gives you relief?

Has your doctor offered any treatment suggestions?

I have been to the Clinic twice for evaluation. I originally was diagnosed with no sweat over 97% of my body. I took high doses of prednisone for 6 months and i improved to 83% of my body had no sweat. I then went on a high dose for 3 months 500 mg of methylprednisolone infusions. Felt better for a year but now the shivering and heating up during the winter is pretty severe. Looking for help. PS I am 70 years old.
