Icy feet and ankles with Small Fiber Neuropathy....anyone?

Hello neuropathy friends. I am looking for information that talks about ice in your feet and ankles from Small Fiber Polyneuropathy. Recently, my feet feel like they have been hanging over the edge of a chair in a bucket of ice. No pain, unless you think freezing feet is painful. Just mysterious. I have had hot and painful but not cold and freezing. Toes still have the tingles and bottoms of feet are numb. Just can't get rid of the cold, cold, cold.

May you have peace and ease today.
Chris

Rachel, looking at the UGGs. I’m afraid they may not have enough support for my plantar fasciitis but they do look toasty warm. Will keep them in mind. Thanks for the input, bcool

@bcool123 - If you have some good shoes for support but are just looking for something to help warm the bottoms of your feet from cold pavement you might want to consider wool felt sole inserts. I use them in the winter time when I'm working outside. Here's just one type I've used from Amazon but you can find others. Some are thicker than others also - https://www.amazon.com/Wool-Insoles-Boots-Shoes-size11/dp/B077X6X1Z3

Another thing I keep on hand for winter that you might like are neoprene toe warmers. They slide over your socks and will keep the heat inside and help warm the toes and front half of your foot -- https://www.amazon.com/Hot-Sockee-Neoprene-Warmers-Construction/dp/B076B4PDZR/ref=sr_1_1_sspa.

Kelsey, thanks for your post. The Merrills shoes look very supportive and they have some kind of reflective insole that reflects your foot heat back! I just hope they’re wide enough I ordered them so we’ll see thanks, bcool

They are wide in the toe. They do have wide sizes. I wear two pairs of socks - sometimes three and am okay.

John, I tried to reply to this yesterday but I’m afraid it didn’t go through. I appreciate your suggestions and they sound very interesting. I think I’ll try ordering a pair of each. I have spent so much money on my feet in the last couple of months… Waiting for something to help. Thanks, Bcool

I’m afraid my comment to John didn’t go through so I’m going to try adding this to it. Bcool

John, I really like my Rockdove fuzzy lined house slippers for indoors. Sometimes they make my feet so hot I have to take them off! Bcool

I am so glad this topic came up! Only the last two weeks have I had the freezing feet. One time I took two vicodins for the pain (usually only one) also Benadryl, also heating pad, electric blanket and husband gently massaging. It took two hours for me to quit hurting so I could sleep. My doctor has not finished testing me so she is unsure if it is sfn, but a doctor ten years ago said it is. But the cold cold feet is new and I am glad to know that might indicate a real diagnosis finally. Thanks!

My feet are so cold sometime, it amazes me how cold they are.
I usually wrap a blanket around my legs and feet to warm them up.
What surprises me is that it’s not even cold in my home, when my feet are frozen.
