As a general all-purpose antibiotic, I’ve taken Culturelle Daily Digestive Probiotic. It’s available at most drug stores and large grocers, and it doesn’t require refrigeration, which many probiotics do. I really haven’t had any personal experience with other products, apart from things like yogurt.

@justmedavid I second the @ckscoville for Culturelle. My other go-to is Jarrow.
After the strong antibiotic, your gut may still be unhappy with you. If you tolerate dairy, a daily serving of yogurt that says "live cultures" on the label for a month or more can help rebuild intestinal flora. Or fresh sauerkraut or kimchi, if that is more to your liking. I personally stay away from the highly promoted "pre-biotic pre-biotic" drinks because they tend to contain a long list of ingredients. The low sugar ones often contain sugar alcohols, which are hard on the stomach.

I bought a bag of sauerkraut in the refrigerator section, at the grocery store. I opened the bag and put it in a container. Every day, I opened the fridge and ate a couple of forkful's of the sauerkraut. It is a great probiotic.

@jlk12 That reminds me of when I was a kid. If I stayed over at my grandma's house by myself, she would bring up a jar of homemade sauerkraut from the root cellar and we would eat it for lunch with bread and butter on the side. Balanced diet - maybe not, but a great treat for a kid whose Mom didn't like it in her house.
Now I put it on salad and meats and cook with it.

@sueinmn that is such a cute story! Isn’t it something how do many of us are lucky to have fond Grandma memories? I happen to love sauerkraut, cold or hot. Bring it on!
