I have noticed a weird sore on the side of my right thigh.

It's pink and small with dry skin that I tend to keep picking off. I also noticed a new mole on my left side near hip. Looks just a normal round brown color.

Are you seeing a dermatologist? If not you need to establish one.

Many many skin issues are consider cosmetic but many are pre cancer and some are BCC, SCC, and melanoma.

I have had about 10 BCC and SCC removed over the 30 years I have been seeing a dermatologist. They are experts in reconzing problem areas. I have a great Mayo PCP but will in a second when I point out something of a skin problem makes a dermatologist referral.

In the last 10 years (I do every year or more often if I have suspicious areas) have not left the dermatologist office without have precancer spots burned off (frozen), and most of time will have biopsy done also.

So to be safe go to a dermatologist. You can also look up signs of skin cancer and other issues. But nothing replaces a medical expert directly looking at your suspicious spots with some type of special lighting. What I have found is everything I think is suspicious it is not. But the dermatologist inspecting my body finds other areas that he does see as suspicious.
