I had stopped taking Forteo two weeks ago. But my pain is worse where

I stopped my Forteo injections. It’ll be two weeks already. My doctor said that I should have pain for like a week, but it should go away, but my pain is worse. My headaches are still hurting my low back hurts my ankles hurt, but the joint pain has gotten a little better, but it hurts a lot more where I had previous breaks in my tip and fib. I had a car put me through a brick wall so I had a broken tip and fib on both legs that hurts a lot now I’m wondering if I should just try to stick it out and go back on the Forteo and stay with it I can’t take the request or anything else cause I have kidney issues and an autoimmune so I don’t know and I also have to worry about like implant cause I have an dental implant. Has anybody else ever stopped the Forteo did your side effects go away right away I’m just debating if this is that or something else going on and how long did it take for your side effects actually go away. Thank you.

I read that "Forteo side effects may be temporary, lasting a few days to weeks, but the duration can vary depending on the individual and the specific side effect. If side effects persist or become severe, it's important to consult your doctor."

Also, I'm not sure how long you were on Forteo, but did your doctor mention it's recommended that patients follow Forteo treatment with a bisphosphonate to further reduce fracture risk.

I was only on 4 months but because of health issues I am very limited with forteo being the best. Prolia, fosamax and Reclast have too many problems. I have an auto immune and kidney problems. And the other ones cause heart problems, stroke, and blood clots so. When that time comes I will do more research. Maybe something new will be out

I’m in a similar situation situation. Forteo or Tymlos then what? Maybe something new will develop? How are you now?

@ipg I am okay I deal with it the pain has settled some. I take more K2 than D3 and less calcium because i get that from food but when I do my injection, I take the K2 in the D3 at the same time so I’ll do the injection and then take these two because the K2 and the D3 help send it. I also take a really low dose of magnesium glycinate all these things they help push the calcium from the injection into a bone and not anywhere else afterwards I’m not sure I heard about this one it’s a daily pill called atlevia it’s a delayed release less than all the other stuff but still I have to be very careful so I’m not sure either what I’m gonna do. I’m 64 years old so I don’t know and the worst part is that was a very bad accident where I was actually a pedestrian coming right out of the door of a store and a car went right into the wall of the store and pushed me into it so I had two broken legs and damaged low back so some of that pain could be from that too so I don’t know. I’m just doing it one day at a time that’s all I’m doing, but yeah I’m gonna look around and see what happens. I’m doing my research for sure.
