I had an ablation 10 days ago for tachycardio I am 20 years old .
I am still experiencing increased heart rates now increasing to 170-230 when I get up , walk or go the stairs. It does go down once I stop to normal, but its keeping me back from regular day to day activities. I also feel increased chest pain, more like stinging at my side. I am nervous. Doctor is telling me it's normal. Did anyone experience something like this. I feel unsafe.

Are you being treated by an electrophysiologist (EP)? If not consider seeing one. They are experts in electrical functions of heart.
If you are 20 then the basic formula for max heart rate is 200. You are going above that. I am 78 and when my HR reaches 170 my ICD/Pacemaker will try to pace me out before giving me an electrical shock. Ablation are usually to stop PVCs or PACs and should improve.
Not a medical doctor but have had issues with PVCs, PACs, tachycardia, for last 20 years. The above comes from my EP and not an opinion by me as I am not a medical professional
I don't even know how you tolerate that. It doesn't sound right to me. I am a nurse and I don't think it is "normal" and if I were you, I'd be seeing a new doctor! Also, what meds are you taking? My husband was placed on a new med to "strengthen his heart muscle" after being fine for years and then his pulse rate tanked! I told him that bradycardia is not "strengthening" anything. He got off the meds and his rate is slowly coming back to normal. I don't think patients ask enough questions and advocate for themselves. Get on the phone!
