I had a SCAD HA October 28,2018 - cardiologist left the province

Posted by heart18 @heart18, 1 day ago

I had a SCAD HA diagnosed in the Cath Lab in the NB Heart Lab in Saint John NB. My cardiologist left our province for another after not receiving proper support from his place of employment and province.
I have been assigned another Cardio but have only spoken with him on the phone due to covid!
My symptoms were not usual --- indigestion --- and uncomfortable in the chest - right area of my breast. Episode started in church --- CATH LAB diagnosed dissected arteries in 3 spots --- no blockages or stents. I was given a Circle of Willis CT scan and they found a brain aneurysm left side by my ear --- regular follow up scans every 3 years to check. No change.
I continue to have episodes of indigestion --- past 3 days --- tried nitro no relief --- do I go to the ER ---

Sorry for these troubles. It isn't everyone's best time of the month to go to an ER, but you get more concentrated and urgent care, ....AND....diagnoses. There is always a chance that your reason for going by ambulance is new and not really related to, or caused by, whichever earlier diagnoses you know about. So, best to err on the side of caution and get some expert help when you could use it best.
