i dont know where to put this because its not exactly "pain"
in 2017 i felt something puffy in the left side of my neck. had a normal ultrasound in 2019
i had shingles one year and then something like the flu. i returned to finish my degree and worked full time
i ended up worn out and a weird chest pain at times or shortness of breath. was prescribed albuterol but no response to that treatment. i dont realy wheeze.
my neck felt larger and no one claimed to feel like that one doctor did
then i got pneumonia this year. i was sick for a month before they said maybe its pneumonia.
i had four colds following that in a 4 month span.
been having climbing platelets for some years as well.
i got a new ultrasound after a doctor believed me that my neck felt puffy to me still and i got these results. no one seems concerned.
Scattered lymph nodes are seen within the neck bilaterally. The largest on the right measure up to 2.6 x 0.7 x 1.9 cm at level 2. A level 3 node measures 2.2 x 0.4 x 0.9 cm and a level 5 node measures 1,4 x 0.3 x 1.2 cm. On the left at 2 level 2 lymph nodes are identified measuring 1.9 x 0.7 x 1.3 cm and 1.5 x 0.8 x 1.1 cm.
COMMENTS: The regional lymph nodes are unremarkable
IMPRESSION:
1. No thyroid nodules.
2. Prominent lymph nodes, right greater than left, within normal limits.
i got stuff about fna but was informed that fna would only apply to thyroid nodules which i dont have.
my primary symptoms now are fatigue, shortness of breath, low grade fevers for no reason.
i dont know what to do.

What types of doctors/specialists have you seen so far?
Based upon what I researched, lymph nodes over 1 cm are suspicious and should be investigated further. I read that FNA/biopsy is an option for suspicious lymph nodes (not sure why you were told it is not). Your having fevers is concerning.
It seems you should have a more detailed CT scan or MRI of your neck and chest. Have you seen a hematologist/oncologist, immunologist, pulmonologist, or infectious disease specialist? Have you been tested for viruses like Epstein Barr?
How were you treated for shingles and pneumonia?

I've got enlarged lymph odes in my neck for about 5 years and they're always benign and I feel fine. Your symptoms fit a large number of illnesses I can think of but too many to note. I suggest you consider an infectious disease doc for an evaluation. Do you live in an area with ticks or have you been in nature lately where you could have been bitten? But it's only conjecture on my part.
i am updating
i have an appointment with a pulmonologist in june.
i had an ANA test and tested positive and i as recommended a rheumatologist.
i self ordered the ana test through quest and as well as CBC test. my platelets were 419 in November which isnt really as high as they can go but it was 392. the nurse did not want to retest so i ordered that one too. i saw my platelets elevating for awhile and im wondering if that can be a problem as well. i had a lyme test but that was negative.
it has been a long time since i was in any wooded areas. i had one embedded when i was a teenager but ti was removed ASAP
yesterday i rode my bike and drank some water and showered but i had a fever of 100.6
as for the ANA test i had a specked pattern and there were some antibodies tested, but they tested negative.
When I had shingles I was given a steroid. I took Lysine after and nosodes. when I bad pneumonia I wasn't diagnosed until a month in which I thought could have made it worse. I was given inhalers and steroids. The steroids lowered my body temperature to 95 and I was very cold. .
I was diagnosed with pneumonia when I coughed up blood and was given amoxicillin for seven days and then doxycycline because my lungs filled up again.
i went to my gynecologist visit, and they want me to have a mammogram and an ultrasound because of a lump. i was very surprised. i scheduled that.
I went for my mammogram and ultrasound and was sent for a biopsy.
i am not waiting for the results of these.
i know it sounds insane but i am hoping for some answers. but i wouldnt have expected breast cancer but i didnt get the results. i know there is some connection of breast cancer and pneumonia but then again a lot of people were getting pneumonia.
my problem is relentless fatigue and oxygen dropping. shortness of breath.
lyme was ruled out and i tested negative for allergies, but the allergy test isnt approved by fda.
there has to be some kind of hope. im exhausted
received the results now.
Left breast with calcifications, upper outer 6 cm from nipple, stereotactic core biopsy with a top-hat tissue marker clip placement:
- Benign breast tissue showing stromal fibrosis, columnar cell changes and microcalcifications in ductules.
- See comment.
A. Breast, Left, (Targeted Biopsy), calcifications left;upper outer;6:
The specimen was received in formalin in one container labeled with the patient's name, designated "Breast, Left, calcifications left;upper outer;6" and consists of 11 pieces of cylindrical fibrofatty soft tissue cores measuring 0.3 x 0.1 cm in diameter up to 1.6 x 0.2 cm in diameter. The specimen is entirely submitted in two cassettes A1-A2. A1 was 9 pieces of tissue cores transfer from the original cassette in the received container, which may contains the focal micro-calcification(s) of tissue. A2: rest of tissue cores. The specimen was fixed in formalin for a total of 10 hours prior to the submission of section(s) for histopathologic processing.
