i dont know where to put this because its not exactly "pain"
in 2017 i felt something puffy in the left side of my neck. had a normal ultrasound in 2019
i had shingles one year and then something like the flu. i returned to finish my degree and worked full time
i ended up worn out and a weird chest pain at times or shortness of breath. was prescribed albuterol but no response to that treatment. i dont realy wheeze.
my neck felt larger and no one claimed to feel like that one doctor did
then i got pneumonia this year. i was sick for a month before they said maybe its pneumonia.
i had four colds following that in a 4 month span.
been having climbing platelets for some years as well.
i got a new ultrasound after a doctor believed me that my neck felt puffy to me still and i got these results. no one seems concerned.
Scattered lymph nodes are seen within the neck bilaterally. The largest on the right measure up to 2.6 x 0.7 x 1.9 cm at level 2. A level 3 node measures 2.2 x 0.4 x 0.9 cm and a level 5 node measures 1,4 x 0.3 x 1.2 cm. On the left at 2 level 2 lymph nodes are identified measuring 1.9 x 0.7 x 1.3 cm and 1.5 x 0.8 x 1.1 cm.
COMMENTS: The regional lymph nodes are unremarkable
IMPRESSION:
1. No thyroid nodules.
2. Prominent lymph nodes, right greater than left, within normal limits.
i got stuff about fna but was informed that fna would only apply to thyroid nodules which i dont have.
my primary symptoms now are fatigue, shortness of breath, low grade fevers for no reason.
i dont know what to do.

I don't think the comment was meant to be snarky but more of a have you talked with your doctor about the results.
No doctors here and us patients can only share our similar experiences and I think we need to leave interpreting test results to the doctors and specialists involved with the testing. Just my humble opinion. 🙃

2 ReactionsSorry, I didn't mean to be snarky - you asked "what now?" If I want an explanation of test results, or what the next step is, I usually ask the doc.
Reading more closely, I think this is a preliminary report from the biopsy, and it has been submitted for more study. There is nothing diagnostic in the text you included - if you don't hear from the doc in 7-10 days (typical turnaround plus allowance for the holiday) - I would give them a call.
As I have learned over and over, in the case of biopsies, "No news is usually good news" - if there is a concern, you are most often called to make an appointment as soon as available.

7 ReactionsNo I worried about me being snarky. Not you. I didn't think you sounded snarky. Sorry I haven't clarified that yet. I was confused because the other member mentioned that when I thought I was clear that I worried about sounding snarky

2 ReactionsMy breast biopsy was benign but had columnar cell changes, stromal fibrosis and micro calcifications in ductules.
My only recommendations are getting a yearly mammogram.
I think I felt the now what feeling from not knowing what to expect next. This was expected. Just before that happened a pulmonologist wanted me to get a chest X-ray. I was very sore but I think I'll be able to handle it now.
With a positive ANA, fatigue, enlarged lymph nodes and shortness of breath you may want your Rheumatologist to check you for Sjogren's. It is an annoying autoimmune disorder that cause a lot of inflammation including enlarged lymph nodes. Sometime they are enlarged because you are having inflammation but sometimes Sjogren's can cause Non-hodgkin's marginal zone lymphoma. Definitely have biopsy of the large lymph nodes. I am speaking from past and current experience with all of this. Best of luck to you!
You’re trying to understand what the results of your biopsy were before you’ve had an opportunity to speak with the doctor. This is a causality of our modern health care record. What Sue was saying is what to speak with them. I don’t see any words associated with cancer just calcification for what it’s worth.
I'm not sure if you got the correct insight from my comment. I never thought the results meant breast cancer. The doctor spoke to me and I still never thought breast cancer. I don't know why you are saying this. I posted something that was only simply ruled out but was hardly plausible to explain any symptoms . I had an overdue gynecology appointment. I feel like a lot of assumptions are made by you and sue. If you are uncomfortable with me you don't have to concern yourself here. I'll be good 😊
I never mentioned calcifications having to do with cancer . As for the results I saw them in my portal and the doctor actually called right away before I actually posted here so even though I wasn't clear I kind of did think the comment "talk to the doctor?" Was kind of weird still because the doctors discussed it and just said to get a mammogram every year. It was columnar cell changes and stromal fibrosis as well as the micro calcifications. There is some tissue left inside along with the metal clip which will show the biopsy site. Which is good because I wasn't really good at telling them where the doctor felt the mass in the first place. Lol
Have you tested for lymphoma?
