"Excess body fat, particularly abdominal fat, can lead to increased estrogen production, which fuels the growth of the uterine lining and can contribute to cancer development. "
In fact, approximately 57% of endometrial cancers in the United States are thought to be attributable to being overweight and obese.(NIH)

When I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer my gynecologist said that I did not have the risk factors that he has seen in his other patients. In fact, I did have risk factors:
Never been pregnant
Menstruating for a longer period of time (I stopped menstruating at age 60)
Older age (I was in menopause)
I was not obese but this is a risk factor.
Does this information help to understand the risk factors associated with endometrial cancer?
