Hypertensive reaction to bowel prep solution
Curious to hear if anyone has experienced a hypertensive reaction to the colonoscopy bowel prep solution. It is so salt saturated that my BP hit 247/190 just prior to the procedure. Meds took it down, but I was nearly sent to the ED!

I am 75 yr old very active male I take 6.25 mg of cardevol twice a day along with 40 mg of atorvastatin and 10 mg ezitinbe.
My blood pressure is normally 120/70. Yesterday I had my 5th colonoscopy. I took clenpiq prep
My blood pressure was 180/78 before I hit my bed. Before the procedure it was 220/105.
After the procedure when I woke up it was 120/70.
What caused this spike
