I am on Hydroxyurea but have not had any fevers - however, it is a common side effect. You should call your prescribing physician immediately for guidance. Hope you feel better soon!
I've been taking hydrox for a year. Not easy at first ( no fevers) but as time went on my doctor tailored the dose to me..I take the medication after a couple of hours of eating with a full glass of water. I need to tell you it doesn't seem to have any effects on me any longer. In other words, it takes time for your body to adjust to it..The fevers are an issue and your hematologist needs to be made aware. Good luck and it will get better.
