For headaches and joint pain I had due to the big 3 sides effects I used a cooling gel wrap for headaches, a heating pad and compression socks and gloves for short term relief as I tried to avoid adding other meds to the routine. It’s a temporary fix but I found I got some relief this way.

1 ReactionAll good ideas - thank you! Are you saying there are compression gloves or did you just wear regular ones to trap heat to soothe?
@pgpunch I have extensive arthritis, but many days my hands hurt the worst. When I was on the antibiotics and limiting use of ibuprofen and tylenol, I used a hot paraffin bath to soothe my hands, ice packs or heating pads for other joints. And topical Voltaren gel (it is an NSAID) on the sorest joints - yes, some is absorbed and must be metabolized, but far less than if you take oral meds.

1 ReactionBeing at the beginning of this journey to fight MAC, all these restrictions are overwhelming on top of all the side effects from the antibiotics. Thank you for the suggestions - I was hoping topical NSAID might be an "allowed" solution!

1 Reaction@pgpunch I found some compression gloves on Amazon which were listed as being for arthritis. They have both full gloves and fingerless. At times I would turn them inside out if the seams were bothering me. I’ve also ordered a heated mitten hand warmer while my husband prefers the freezer ones for stiff fingers and hands. I tried various options to find what works best!
